In these difficult economic times, good news do not come frequently but here is one. In May 2009, a grand ceremony has been organized for the formal inauguration of the brand new and impressive facilities of Mectron India. The company has actually been founded in Bangalore in December 2004 with just 3 people and located, of course, in modest rental facilities. A little more than 4 years later, and still under the direction of Managing Director Mr. Radhakrishnan, it has branches in Mumbai and New Delhi and employs over 60 persons!
Conceived in the beginning as a pure distributional structure, Mectron India has soon attracted well-known brands looking for a serious partner in that extremely challenging Indian market. Today, KaVo, Heraeus Kulzer, Cavex, Villa, Euronda, Schulz and K-Driller are distributed exclusively through this company.
In order to satisfy even better all these distribution partners but also with the new objective of starting on-site product assembly, a well situated 5000 sqm piece of land, situated only 15 minutes away from the new Bangalore International Airport, was purchased in Bangalore. In less than one year, very representative but also functional facilities have been built there. There are now generous meeting rooms, modern offices and of course a very nice show room displaying all brands. Such an investment certainly means a strong commitment to Mectron India?s distribution partners and is also shows the trust of the Italian mother company, Mectron S.p.A. in Carasco near Genoa, in the potential of the Indian dental market.
