With its new height of 18 mm, VOCO is now expanding its tried-and-tested nanoceramic hybrid material range. This expansion includes a version developed specially for demanding, large-span restorations: the Grandio multicolor disc option.
The additional height offers valuable vertical room for the use of the tried-and-tested invisible layer technology. This technology ensures smooth transitions between the individual layers and supports the material’s intense chameleon effect. Large restorations can be nested harmoniously. As a result, they produce color gradients with an exceptionally natural and vibrant appearance. This means Grandio multicolor disc restorations achieve highly aesthetic results. They accurately reproduce the shade and light dynamics of natural teeth with remarkable authenticity.
Efficient workflow for complex restorations
One major advantage of the new 18 mm version is the option of milling large-span restorations including gingival portions directly out of the disc. Consequently, this renders time-intensive modeling by hand unnecessary, as only final veneering of the gingival portion is required. This significantly simplifies lab workflows and saves valuable time. At the same time, precision milling is enhanced thanks to the strength found in the multicolor Grandio disc. This disc also impresses with excellent marginal stability, making it possible to produce precise, sharply milled margins without chipping.
About Grandio disc
Grandio disc is a nanoceramic hybrid material for CAD/CAM restorations with 86% filler content. It combines high strength at silicate ceramic level with antagonist-friendly properties. There is also low abrasion and elasticity similar to that of dentine. The low overall weight is advantageous for framework-supported restorations in particular. Together with the masticatory load behaviour similar to that of natural teeth, this ensures high wearing comfort and a long-lasting, gentle restoration. The broad range of indications stretches from inlays, onlays and veneers right up to crowns, implant-retained crowns and the veneering of supporting framework constructions. It’s clear that the Grandio disc multicolor variant is designed to meet versatile clinical needs.
Alongside the new height of 18 mm, Grandio disc is also available in heights of 12 mm and 15 mm (98 mm in diameter) and the tooth shades A1, A2, A3, A3.5, B1 and C2. In addition to the multicolor version with invisible layer technology, which replicates the natural color gradient from the tooth neck to the incisal edge with its intense chameleon effect, there are also HT (high translucent) and LT (low translucent) versions available.
